Work-Focused Support
A Functional Capacity Evaluation looks at how a person performs selected physical tasks. The assessment can help describe current abilities and limitations in relation to relevant job demands. It is an evaluation rather than a course of treatment.
When job information is available, the evaluator can consider the demands of the position alongside the activities assessed. Findings provide information for the provider and others involved in your rehabilitation; they do not replace the medical or administrative decisions made by those responsible for your case.
